This one-shot takes place after the sixth book, The Time Paradox (which, by the way, is my personal favorite, partially for the reasons illustrated in this story). In its own way, it's a perfect illustration of why you can't just pair up any two characters you want. Sometimes, it is simply not their nature. Vipers, in particular, are quite dangerous.
